The dynamic between adult daughters and their mothers is a subject that really interests me. The birth of grandchildren is often an impetus for mothers and daughters to revisit some of the conflicts of their earlier relationship. As daughters become mothers, it's natural for them to think about how they were mothered, and that can resurrect some issues. I can honestly tell my daughters that I know that I made a lot of mistakes as a mother, and I'm confident that they are doing a better job. Very good post.
